Vlog 2 – Losing things and OCD

I admit that I am getting older and have a lot more distractions in my life than I used to, but losing something is probably one of the most annoying things to me. I don’t lose things. I have an amazing memory, so when I lose something, I kind of obsess over it for days trying to find it. I noticed this first when I lost my prescription sunglasses. Then I misplaced my Fitbit Flex. In this Vlog, I talk about my mental behaviors when I lose something.

Who else does this? Do you wonder around like a crazy person when you lose something?

    I am diagnosed with OCD, and I do this excessively over ANYTHING, no matter how unimportant it is. Currently it is a missing sock that belongs to one of my daughters, which is what lead me here.

    It takes over my mind and drives me insane. I do not think it is funny, nor does my husband. He actually gets quite annoyed, especially when he is trying to sleep and I have went into the bedroom 3 times now in the past hour searching with a flashlight. It will literally drive me insane until it is found, no matter what it is, especially considering the fact that our house is relatively small, and I know good and well it has to be here somewhere.
